Tithing Is More Than Giving
The word "tithe" means tenth or 10%. Tithing, or giving ten percent of your income, isn't merely giving something to God. It's giving back what was his to begin with. All that we have, or hope to have, comes from him. The Bible says that tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything, even life.

Offering is different than tithe. It is God asking us to give beyond the 10%. Offering can be designated toward a specific ministry need or area. You're offering helps keep ministries healthy and functioning.
Serve
Time is a precious treasure. It is truly an investment no matter where we spend it. We are called to serve with our time. This is a vital way we can give to the church and community.

OCN offers the option to make financial contributions online. All payment information is securely transmitted, collected and processed. We can now accept some major credit/debit cards as well as bank transfers. Your transaction is secure and your financial information will not be shared with other organizations.
You have the option to cover the credit card processing fees, as well as set up reoccurring giving.

We provide giving envelopes (available in the seatback pockets) at church if you prefer to give while at a worship service. Simply include cash or check (payable to Oakes Nazarene Church or OCN)
If your offering is for anything in particular, please indicate that in the check memo or on the giving envelope. This helps us get your gift to the right ministry

We are called by Jesus Christ to serve. In John 13:13-17 we begin to understand that the outward expression of our love toward others is servant hood. Here at OCN we have many opportunities for you to serve.
